EVERGREEN, Colo. (KDVR) — Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report on March 31 of a dog biting a customer's face at the Home Depot on El Rancho Road in Evergreen.According to police, two women with a dog asked a Home Depot customer to feed the dog a treat for training. It was sentencing day for three men who were convicted in the murder of South Florida rapper XXXTentacion. Michael Boatwright, 28, Dedrick Williams, 26, and Trayvon Newsome, 24, were convicted of first-degree murder back in March. “And one day, they’ll come and open up that cell in the morning, and you’ll have passed on, and only on that day will you have served your sentence,” said a judge. “You may have not brandished the firearm or fired the fatal shots, you are as guilty as they are,” the judge said.All three were sentenced to life in prison. XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was murdered in 2018 at Riva Motorsports in Deerfield when the three men robbed and stole $53,000 from him. Shanika Myrthill was last seen Wednesday at around 3:30 p.m. near 30th Street and Northwest 50th Avenue. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a gray T-shirt and black shoes. Myrthill stands at 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. Rescue crews airlifted a child to the hospital after they were injured at their school in Hialeah Gardens.The incident happened at the Mater Academy Charter Middle/High School in Hialeah Gardens, Thursday morning. According to officials, the student was struck in the head by a ball inside the cafeteria. Some South Florida students and law enforcement officers turned an appetite for helping into a contest.Students from Pompano Beach High School and Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies faced off in a friendly food drive, Thursday morning. The second annual event is a collaborated effort to see who could collect the most food. “I’ve been to a lot of different places in the world, and I just seen poverty, and to see this, and to see all those students support for doing this, it’s very enjoyable,” said student Rossie Garcia. “My whole team, from the Community Outreach, Responsive Enforcement team, our core team in Pompano is basically heavily involved and invested in our community to make sure that we’re obtaining resources from Pompano to give back to Pompano Beach,” said BSO Sgt. Federal officials are apologizing this week after federal agents mistakenly detained the wrong person during a training exercise in a Boston hotel Tuesday.In a statement, the FBI said the incident happened around 10 p.m. while the FBI’s Boston Division was aiding the Department of Defense in an exercise “to simulate a situation their personnel might encounter in a deployed environment.”“Based on inaccurate information, they were mistakenly sent to the wrong room and detained an individual, not the intended role player,” the FBI said.A Boston police report said the incident happened at the Revere Hotel. 7NEWS sources said the person who was mistakenly detained is a pilot for Delta Air Lines.7NEWS spoke by phone with the Director of Communications for the U.S. Army Special Operations Command from Fort Bragg after the incident. “We would like to extend our deepest apology to the individual who was affected by the training exercise,” Lt.
