HOUSTON (AP) — The Cincinnati Reds fully embrace their underdog status after losing 100 games just a year ago. But if these red hot Reds keep playing this well, it’s going to be difficult to continue to see them as underdogs. Jonathan India hit a two-run homer and Will Benson had three hits and two RBIs to power the surging Reds to a 10-3 win over the Houston Astros on Saturday. The victory extends Cincinnati’s winning streak to seven games. It’s the first time the Reds have won seven in a row since June 2018, and it’s the longest active winning streak in the majors.“We’re showing the world right now who we are and how we play and the brand we play,” India said. “So all I can say is that we’re going to keep it going.”Hunter Greene (2-4) allowed five hits and two runs in six innings to get his second win of the season.India’s home run off Brandon Bielak (3-4) put the Reds up 2-0 in the first and Benson drove in two with a single in the fifth that pushed it to 5-1.“Belief i...Outage affecting system that delivers checked bags causes delays, upsets travelers at MIA

Volunteers rolled up their sleeves to clean up a beach on World Sea Turtle Day.Adults and children spending Saturday morning picking up trash at Haulover Park.Miami-Dade County’s Sea Turtle Conservation Program hosted the cleanup.Fanny Navarro with the Sea Turtle Conservation Program said she wants people to understand the importance of cleaning after themselves, especially during sea turtle nesting season.“So I ask, if you enjoy the beach, before you leave the beach, tear down the sand castles, fill in the holes and clean up the area,” she said, “because at night, the sea turtles come in to nest, and in July, the baby sea turtles hatch at night to find their way out to the ocean.”The program works to protect nests along the 17-mile county coastline and ensure sea turtle survival.Forget retirement. Europe cannot ignore Taiwan’s desire for “better relations” if EU countries such as Germany are keen to acquire advanced microchip-making technologies from the island, Taiwanese Foreign Minister Joseph Wu said.Speaking to POLITICO and other media on his trip to Europe, Wu questioned the enticements Europe is offering TSMC when asked why the world-leading chipmaking giant based in Taiwan has still not come to a decision to build a new plant in Germany. “If Europe has provided very positive incentive, and also speak with the TSMC in a way that will make the TSMC feel comfortable, that their investment in Europe is going to produce very positive results … their investment in Europe is certainly not going to be stopped by the government,” Wu said.“Even though we are not selfish in stopping the TSMC, for making investment in other countries, we certainly hope that other countries who want to attract TSMC to make investment can also think about th...WATCH: Canadian hovercraft forced to ground itself on Hampton Beach

Using cutting-edge drone technology and satellite tagging, researchers are protecting endangered leatherback sea turtles in Puerto Rico with the help of expertise and funding from the New England Aquarium.Leatherback sea turtles in the United States are an endangered species and are particularly challenging to monitor because they can make extensive migrations across entire ocean basins, travelling over 60 kilometers per day. In 2018, Dr. Kara Dodge, a research scientist with the Aquarium’s Anderson Cabot Center for Ocean Life, began collaborating with the organization Amigos de las Tortugas Marinas (ATMAR) after a leatherback turtle tagged off Cape Cod turned up in Puerto Rico. Dodge studies the behavior of leatherback turtles, focusing on gathering data using innovative tools and techniques—including satellite tagging—to support conservation and recovery efforts for this endangered species.Dodge has traveled to Puerto Rico over the past several years, working with the Pu...Dozens of women touched by trauma graduate from We Are Better Together program
