AUSTIN (KXAN) — Known as a growing tech hub, the City of Austin has also become an epicenter for autonomous vehicle technology in recent years with General Motors' Cruise, Volkswagen and Waymo being just a handful of companies who currently have an autonomous vehicle footprint in the Texas capital.These companies have pointed to Austin's concentrated pedestrian regions downtown and in the West Campus neighborhood, as well as its specific transportation network, as the reasoning behind the appeal. But as the tech's presence grows in Austin, so can the possibility of stalled AVs on local roadways, as is what happened last week when two Cruise vehicles stalled. In downtown St. Paul, a new retail pharmacy has opened in the former St. Joseph’s Hospital space, now dubbed the Fairview Community Health and Wellness Hub. The Wellness Pharmacy was opened by Minnesota Community Care — the state’s largest federally qualified health center — at the beginning of July.The Wellness Pharmacy, which is open to the general public, accepts private and public insurance and offers discount pricing programs to uninsured customers. In a written statement, Fairview officials said the pharmacy will host public health workshops and events, beginning with a free HIV rapid test from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Two HIV educators from Minnesota Community Care will be on hand.The pharmacy’s hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Drivers can expect delays when traveling on eastbound Interstate 94 between Oakdale and the St. Croix River, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.Eastbound I-94 will be reduced to a single lane of traffic between Woodbury Drive and the St. Croix River starting 8 p.m. Thursday through 5 a.m. Friday.The entrance ramp from Woodbury Drive to eastbound I-94 will be closed beginning 6 p.m. Thursday through mid-November. BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- William C. Maguire, 28, of Voorheesville, has pled guilty to attempted rape in the first degree and attempted criminal sexual act in the first degree. According to the indictment, Maguire forcibly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old victim in their sleep. The act occurred on January 22 in the Town of Providence. The victim received a medical examination at the Albany Medical Center, where critical DNA was secured.Sentencing is scheduled for September 23. On June 30, police executed a search warrant at 223 Bockes Road in Greenfield after a lengthy drug trafficking investigation was conducted in Saratoga County. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Ballston Spa man is in custody following a road rage incident on I-87 in Saratoga Springs on Friday. Seth A. Labarbera, 23, is facing charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and menacing in the second degree. The vehicle was located and stopped for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. Police identified the driver as Labarbera. Investigations determined that Labarbera brandished a handgun during a road rage incident, causing the victim to be fearful for their safety.Labarbera was arrested and arraigned at the Wilton Town Court. The indictment alleges that Green intentionally, while acting in concert caused the death of Hacief Oliver on November 10, 2022.
