LOS ANGELES (AP) — Elly De La Cruz, Joey Votto and Matt McLain homered, and the Cincinnati Reds routed the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-0 on Sunday to take over sole possession of first place in the NL Central.De La Cruz went 4 for 5 and scored twice as the Reds rapped out 14 hits in taking two of three from the NL West-leading Dodgers. (AP) — Seventeen-year-old American cyclist Magnus White, who was scheduled to race at the upcoming world championships in Scotland, was killed Saturday when he was struck by a vehicle on a training ride near his home in Boulder, Colorado.USA Cycling announced his death in a statement Sunday.White was a rising multidisciplinary star, winning a junior national championship in cyclocross in 2021 and earning a place on the U.S. national team. He competed with the team in Europe ahead of last year’s cyclocross world championships, and he was picked to represent the U.S. again at this year’s cyclocross worlds in the Netherlands.White began to dabble in road cycling and mountain biking this season. A woman is recovering in the hospital after she was found unconscious in an apartment in West Park that had caught fire. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue units responded to the scene of the blaze along the 4000 block of Southwest 23rd Street, at around 8 p.m. on Saturday.Investigators said the fire ignited in the kitchen of the apartment unit.Crews arrived to find the woman unresponsive in a bedroom. First responders resuscitated the victim and rushed her to a nearby hospital where she is said to be recovering. Firefighters were able to put out the flames and prevent them from spreading to other units in the apartment complex. Monday will start off dry and nice, with highs in the 70s to low 80s and mostly sunny skies.
