The eye test has told us over the last week that the Bruins are not really the best team in the NHL . Now the standings confirm it.The New York Rangers leapfrogged the B’s into the league’s top spot by points percentage for the time being with a 7-4 win at Madison Square Garden. It was the first time the B’s have lost two games in a row, and in regulation no less.But much more troubling than the standings is how the product has looked lately. Counting the B’s 3-1 win over Florida, the B’s allowed 18 goals in four games in the week.Again, the B’s started horribly and found themselves in a hole early. Ramona woman killed in head-on collision on SR-78, DUI suspected

SAN DIEGO -- A woman from Ramona was killed in a head-on collision Saturday on State Route 78, authorities said.The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. when a 26-year-old Ramona man was driving a 2019 Ford F-350 pickup truck eastbound on SR-78, west of Weekend Villa Road, California Highway Patrol explained.At that same time, a 44-year-old woman was driving a 2007 Ford Edge SUV westbound SR-78. CHP said the F-350 crossed into the westbound lane, striking the Edge head-on.The impact caused the Edge to roll down an embankment to the north of the roadway. Authorities confirmed the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.The solo occupant of the F-350 left his vehicle at the scene and fled on foot, CHP explained. He was later located at his residence in Ramona and was arrested on suspicion of DUI, hit and run, as well as vehicular manslaughter.The crash prompted authorities to close both westbound and eastbound lanes for a short period of time. CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Police issued 20 citations at a driving under the influence (DUI)/Driver’s License Checkpoint in Chula Vista Friday night, authorities said.The Chula Vista Police Department (CVPD) said officers conducted the checkpoint in the 1100 block of Eastlake Parkway from 6 p.m. to midnight. Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in Caledon

A person has died after being struck by a vehicle in Caledon. Provincial police were called to Tim Manley Drive, just east of Chinguacousy Road just after 7:30 a.m. Saturday for reports of a serious collision.When they arrived they found a pedestrian suffering from life-threatening injuries. They were transported to a nearby trauma centre, where they were later pronounced dead.No further details as to what may have led up the accident have been provided.

Crews respond to fire on Sherman Street in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Multiple crews responded to a house fire in Albany on Saturday afternoon. No injuries have been reported, according to the Albany Fire Department. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! On November 25 at 2:17 p.m., the fire department received a call for an attic fire at 289 Sherman Street. Crews arrived at the scene at 2:20 p.m. and were able to get the flames under control just before 3 p.m. Firefighters remain on the scene as the situation abates.
