ST. LOUIS - Defendant Levi Henning is no longer charged with the first-degree murder of former Parkway student Carieal Doss.FOX 2 asked the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office on March 14 why the case is not in court records. We found out the reason Thursday when we showed up to court.We originally reported on the murder behind a Baptist church in 2020. Doss was found shot in the head on a Franklin Avenue sidewalk in April of that year. The 18-year-old student was about to graduate from Parkway West High School. FOX 2 has now learned the murder charges against the accused were dropped after allegations the Circuit Attorney’s Office failed to turn over evidence. Iron County sheriff, deputies charged in criminal conspiracy

POTOSI, Mo. - Iron County Sheriff Jeffery Burkett has been charged in a criminal conspiracy involving a kidnapping plot. Two of Burkett's deputies and an Iron County resident were also charged. The Washington County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is handling the case. IBurkett and deputies Chase Bresnahan and Matthew Cozard are accused of aiding Donald Gaston to allegedly kidnap his children from their mother.The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control arrested the four men on Thursday. Denver is bringing another familiar face back from its 2022 defense.The Broncos on Thursday announced they re-signed safety P.J. Locke after declining to tender him as a restricted free agent before the new league year began a day earlier. Locke, 26, will return for a fourth season in Denver after briefly hitting the free-agent market Wednesday afternoon. Locke has appeared in 47 career games over his first three NFL seasons and last year served mainly as a special teams player and “dime” defensive back. He also served as one of Denver’s core special teams players.Locke was originally a restricted free agent, meaning Denver needed to guarantee at least $2.627 million in order to have the right to match another team’s offer. Innocent driver hurt when L.A. police chase ends in crash

An innocent driver suffered minor injuries when a police pursuit ended with a dramatic crash in L.A.’s Jefferson Park neighborhood Thursday afternoon.According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the chase started around 2:25 p.m. somewhere on Figuroa Street when officers tried to stop a driver in a stolen black sedan.The chase continued until the suspect slammed into another vehicle at the Arlington Avenue entrance to the 10 Freeway. California congressman wants to make 32-hour workweek a U.S. law

One California congressman wants to make the four-day workweek a federal law.Rep. Mark Takano, a Democrat representing California’s 39th congressional district, which includes Riverside County, reintroduced the 32-Hour Workweek Act. This bill would reduce the standard 40-hour workweek to 32 hours by amending the Fair Labor Standards Act. The bill would also mandate overtime pay for any work done after 32 hours and applies to non-exempt employees who typically work hourly jobs in various sectors, including transportation, wholesale and retail. LASD clears bomb threat at Whitney High School

Authorities have given the all-clear and students are being released following a bomb threat at Whitney High School in Cerritos, the ABC Unified School District public information officer said. Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials received a call regarding a bomb threat at Whitney High School around 12:50 p.m. Thursday afternoon, and shortly thereafter the school was placed on lockdown. A memo sent to a parent said that a person called the Cerritos Station and threatened to detonate a bomb at the school unless they received $10,000. A spokesperson for the ABC Unified School District could not confirm the report regarding the money request sent in the memo. More than 10 squad cars were seen outside the school as the investigation was being conducted. Students are being escorted by deputies to Cerritos Park East to be reunited with their parents, who should have their IDs with them to speed up the process, officials said.Deputies are continuing their investi...
