ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Shohei Ohtani’s next scheduled mound start for the Los Angeles Angels has been pushed back one day to Friday in Toronto.Angels manager Phil Nevin announced the decision Sunday on Ohtani, who had been tentatively scheduled to take his semiregular turn in the rotation on Thursday in Detroit.Ohtani instead will take the mound Friday night when the Angels open a weekend series against the Blue Jays, a fellow contender for the AL’s wild-card playoff spots.The mound start in Toronto will be the last for Ohtani before the trade deadline. The Angels must decide whether to trade Ohtani or to risk losing him for almost nothing as an unrestricted free agent in the winter.Nevin said the Angels pushed back Ohtani to give him six days of rest between mound starts, but also to shift the rotation so Ohtani doesn’t have to make his ensuing start on a Wednesday afternoon in Atlanta. 4 juveniles in custody after crash following armed robbery, chase

DENVER (KDVR) -- Four juveniles were in custody after an armed robbery in Northglenn ended with a short chase and crash in Thornton, according to police.The crash was at Riverdale Road and Colorado Boulevard after the suspect vehicle failed to make a turn and crashed.Two of the four were handed over to the Northglenn Police Department. The remaining two were transported to a local hospital for injuries, according to Thornton PD.One of the two taken to the hospital sustained their injuries in the crash.Additional information about the armed robbery that led to the chase and crash was not yet available.

Police have taken two people into custody following a violent rollover wreck overnight near the Pelican Harbor Marina in Miami.According to investigators, the crash happened along the John F. Kennedy Causeway, where the car flipped upside down and engulfed in flames, just before 4 a.m., Sunday.Police said the crash was a result of the driver of a black Kia involved fleeing an attempted traffic stop in North Bay Village. However, a high-speed chase did not occur.Both occupants of the vehicle fled on foot after the crash.Cameras captured the police extracting a man from the water shortly after the wreck. An overnight shooting in Davie sent one person to the hospital, police said. According to Davie Police, the incident occurred along the 6700 block of Stirling Road, early Sunday morning.Upon arrival, officers discovered one person suffering from a gunshot wound.Paramedics transported the patient to Memorial Regional Hospital, where they are listed in stable condition.Detectives responded to the scene and met with the other individual involved in the shooting, as well as witnesses. Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a 68-year-old man reported missing by his family.According to Miami-Dade Police, Antoine Philippe was last seen walking toward the Little Haiti neighborhood, Tuesday morning.He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue shorts and black and gray tennis shoes.Philippe, who had gone missing last year as well, suffers from dementia, according to his family.Officials urge anyone with information on Philippe’s whereabouts to call Miami-Dade Police at 305-476-5423.
