One dies in single-vehicle crash near Hayden

DENVER (KDVR) -- Highway 40 was closed Saturday evening after a person died in a crash.The Routt County Sheriff's Office said Highway 40 was closed near mile marker 105 while Colorado State Patrol was investigating the crash. Burglar accused of University Hill break-ins during Buffs game RCSO said there was one person in the car, which somehow crashed and killed the occupant. RCSO said only one vehicle was involved in the crash.No further details were immediately available.

DENVER (KDVR) -- Saturday morning, police in Denver were investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the Overland neighborhood area.DPD said it happened near the intersection of Platte River Drive and Florida Avenue. Burglar accused of University Hill break-ins during Buffs game At 1:15 a.m. Saturday morning, DPD said a victim had been found with unknown injuries. However, DPD later provided an update and said the victim, an adult man, had been pronounced dead.Officers were looking for suspect information and said the incident was being investigated as a homicide.Anyone with information was asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

Three teenage suspects at large in fatal Oceanside shooting

OCEANSIDE, Calif. -- A police search is underway for three juvenile suspects after a shooting in an Oceanside parking lot Saturday evening left one person dead, authorities confirmed.The incident was reported around 4:36 p.m. after an altercation between the suspects, identified as 15-year-old boys, and 29-year-old man in a parking lot on N Redondo Drive near Vandegrift Boulevard, according to Jennifer Atenza with the Oceanside Police Department.Multiple shots were fired by the teenagers as the altercation escalated. The victim sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on scene. All three suspects then fled the scene. The San Diego County Sheriff's Office ASTREA helicopter assisted officers' search throughout the evening.Details about what led up to the shooting remain under investigation by OPD. Ill worker rescued from reseach station in Antarctica now in a hospital in Australia

This called on Schenectady to declare a state of emergency over what is being named the "migrant crisis" in the county.
