CHICAGO — All Elite Wrestling founder and CEO Tony Khan says his love for professional wrestling dates back to a long-defunct WGN Sports show.The CEO and general manager founded AEW in 2019, which offers an alternative to mainstream wrestling. ELGIN, Ill. — FBI agents say a search is underway for a man who robbed a bank in Elgin on Friday afternoon.According to the FBI, the robbery happened at a Chase bank near Larkin Avenue and Market Street around 4:30 p.m. 2 teens shot, 1 critical, after Mount Carmel HS football game in Woodlawn Agents say the man, did not reveal a weapon during the robbery but implied to bank workers that he had one.Image provided by the FBIAuthorities provided a photo of the offender from security camera video that was captured inside the bank. Fauci defends masking as COVID cases rise: 'I would hope' people abide by recommendations

CHICAGO —A man accused of carjacking a woman at gunpoint in Garfield Park has been arrested, according to Chicago police.Officers say 26-year-old Tyquaries Young allegedly stole the 33-year-old woman's vehicle after holding her at gunpoint in the 2600 block of West Monroe Street on Friday morning. 2 teens shot, 1 critical, after Mount Carmel HS football game in Woodlawn According to police, Young was arrested just after 8:15 a.m., in the 1500 block of South Homan Avenue, only minutes after the alleged carjacking took place.Officers identified Young as one of the people involved, however, police have not provided details on how many people in total were involved.Police say Young was charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking.

Texas takes legal action to save Fairfield Lake State Park

FORT WORTH (Texas Tribune) — In a new attempt to save Fairfield Lake State Park, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department filed a petition to condemn and seize the 5,000-acre property south of Dallas through eminent domain.The petition was filed in Freestone County District Court Friday morning, after months of unsuccessful negotiations with Dallas-based developer Todd Interests, which plans to turn the former park into a high-end gated subdivision.The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department wrote in an email that this step was “necessary to pursue acquisition at fair market value to preserve Fairfield Lake State Park and Fairfield Lake for all Texans.”A spokesperson for Todd Interests said Shawn Todd, the company’s CEO, was unavailable to comment. Twins star Byron Buxton was removed early from a rehab game with the Triple-A Saints for precautionary reasons Friday with a sore knee.Buxton played the outfield for the first time in more than a year on Wednesday, spending seven innings in center field.
