AUSTIN (KXAN) — With heavy rain and storms expected in the Austin area over the weekend, Texas and San Jose State are going to frontload its 3-game series with a Friday doubleheader.The first game is scheduled for 2 p.m. with the nightcap at 6:30 p.m., leaving Saturday open as that is when the forecast calls for the heaviest rain and potential flash flooding around the area. Siena student, bus driver who helped during medical episode reunite

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Earlier this week, NEWS10 told a story about a Siena College student who helped save the life of a Yankee Trails bus driver having a medical episode behind the wheel. On Thursday, the student reunited with another bus driver on board who helped during the emergency.This past Saturday, on the way from the Siena campus to the College Suites in Troy, a woman who was training suffered a cardiac episode near the intersection of Routes 9 and 378 and stopped breathing. Woman shot 5 times while pregnant shares her story 4 years later

ST. LOUIS - A young woman who was nearly shot to death while she was pregnant shared her story. Four years after the shooting, she's learning to heal and spreading three very important words.“My momma always told me if you smile, people won’t know what you’re going through,” said 19-year-old Daisha George, a shooting victim.On May 15, 2019, on Lucille near Riverview in north St. Louis, when George was a high school freshman, age 15, and 9 months pregnant, she was shot five times by the father of her child.Her life has not been magically transformed since then. She credits something called UnGUN. “I got shot on a Wednesday. I lost my mom on a Friday,” George said. Her mother had ALS and lost hope after hearing about the shooting. KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The city goes against Missouri state lawmakers to approve a resolution and become a sanctuary city for the transgender community.The Kansas City Council voted 11-to-1 to approve the ordinance. It says the city will not prosecute or fine any person or organization that provides, seeks, or receives gender-affirming care. Southern California shelters are bracing for a surge in migrants following the end of Title 42 on Thursday night.Title 42 is the pandemic-era public health order that was put in place in March 2020 that restricted migrants from claiming asylum at the border in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus between countries.
