CLEVELAND (AP) — Tim Anderson of the Chicago White Sox and José Ramírez of the Cleveland Guardians exchanged punches at second base Saturday night, triggering a bench-clearing melee in the sixth inning that led to six ejections.Ramírez appeared to connect with a right hand to the face of Anderson, who fell backward to the ground. Following two years at Nashville, the Pflugerville native came back home to play basketball at Texas."Especially my second year with Covid limiting travel, I didn't really get to play in front of my family or people that I knew too much," said Disu about playing at Vanderbilt. Washington County sheriff doubles staff at fair after Friday night fight

After a large fight broke out at the Washington County Fair on Friday night, the sheriff’s office doubled its presence at the fair Saturday, authorities said.The fight took place about 10:30 p.m. Friday and involved more than 50 teens and young adults. Two of them, a 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, were cited in connection with the fighting. 2 arrested for deadly shooting in Irvine neighborhood

Two suspects were arrested Saturday after a teenager was shot and killed in a quiet Irvine neighborhood earlier this week.The suspects were identified as Jayden Browndorf, 21, of Irvine and Noah Farmer, 22, of Tustin, by the Irvine Police Department.The victim was identified as Nicholas Alistair Neaimi-Pour, 19, from Costa Mesa.On Aug. 3, police responded to reports of a shooting near Athel Avenue and Sego Street around 12:37 p.m. Callers told police they heard a man screaming for help. Arriving officers found the victim lying on the ground while being attended to by witnesses and residents in the area.Paramedic crews arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. DENVER (KDVR) -- The Denver Police Department said a suspect was shot and taken to the hospital in critical condition Saturday night.At 8:58 p.m., DPD tweeted about the investigation into the officer-involved shooting.It happened in the 2300 block of West Cedar Avenue. DPD said officers responded to reports of domestic violence.The suspect was shot and hospitalized in critical condition.
