ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A crash at the I-90/I-787 junction closed the ramp from I-90 eastbound to traffic around 1 p.m. According to the Albany Police Department, traffic investigators are on scene and those involved appear to only have minor injuries. TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two residents of Troy were arrested following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Hill Street. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Tuesday, Gilberto Velasquez, 38, of the Bronx, was sentenced to 70 months in prison. Velasquez pled guilty to conspiring to traffic heroin and fentanyl from New York City to the Capital Region and for distributing heroin. Velasquez admitted to selling quantities of heroin bags and fentanyl-laced pills to customers in the Capital Region. "Runners" transported the controlled substances via commercial bus lines. 89 grams of heroin and 10 grams of fentanyl were trafficked from New York City to the Capital Region.Velasquez was on parole from a state prison term at that time. ST. LOUIS - A woman is hospitalized with critical injuries after she was shot, then reportedly thrown from a car on Interstate 70 during rush hour in St. Louis. The incident unfolded around 5 p.m. Monday in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near Shreve Avenue in north St. Louis. 5-year-old girl shot and killed in Belleville, Illinois Police responded to a call for assistance at that location and noticed a 19-year-old woman with a gunshot wound. The victim told police she was shot by her child's father, and later thrown from a vehicle. Investigators have not disclosed what might have led up to the shooting. The suspect is a 29-year-old man who has not yet been arrested or charged. The remnants of Tropical Storm Eugene will begin to impact Southern California’s weather early Wednesday and continue through Thursday.The storm was centered several hundred miles off the northern Pacific coast of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula Wednesday with sustained winds of 35 miles an hour, according to the National Weather Service.It has been downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone.The wind is not expected to be a major factor when cloud bands from the storm arrive in Southern California.“On Wednesday and Thursday, we’ll start to see some of this tropical moisture move in from the south.
