Harvard University has recently faced backlash after a letter from several student groups blamed Israel for violence in the region. The letter was shared on Sunday. Harvard’s president has since responded, saying in part “Let there be no doubt that I condemn the terrorist atrocities perpetrated by Hamas.” “Such inhumanity is abhorrent whatever one’s individual views of the longstanding conflicts in the region,” president Claudine Gay continued. The letter was penned by Harvard University Palestine Solidarity Groups. It blamed Israel for recent violence and said the “events did not occur in a vacuum.”“The letter from Harvard student groups is depraved,” Rep. US Coast Guard recovers remaining debris and evidence from Titan submersible

(CNN) — The remaining debris from the Titan submersible that suffered a catastrophic implosion en route to the wreckage of the Titanic in June has been recovered – including presumed human remains, the US Coast Guard said Tuesday.All five passengers on board the Titan, a 23,000-pound vessel roughly the size of a minivan, were killed shortly after the vessel lost contact with its mother ship about 1 hour and 45 minutes into its dive toward the Titanic.The evidence recovered from the North Atlantic Ocean seafloor last week by marine safety engineers from the Coast Guard’s Marine Board of Investigation was “successfully transferred to a US port for cataloging and analysis,” a release from the Coast Guard says.“Additional presumed human remains were carefully recovered from within Titan’s debris and transported for analysis by US medical professionals,” the release says.The salvage mission was a follow-up to initial recovery operations after the submersible impl...

George Santos of stealing donors’ identities and running up thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges on their credit cards.The 10 new charges against Santos also include allegations that the New York Republican embezzled cash from his company and conspired with his former campaign treasurer to falsify donation totals in order to hit fundraising targets set by national Republicans, among other offenses.This fresh round of charges, called a superseding indictment, effectively replaces the earlier case against Santos. Boston police arrest suspect in late-night Mass and Cass stabbing

A stabbing went down in the heart of Mass and Cass, and Boston police say they quickly arrested a suspect.Police were walking in the area of Southampton and Atkinson streets at around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday when, according to a police statement, they saw a bunch of people running from the area. At least one of the runners said someone had been stabbed and gave police a description of the suspect.Police found Uwadiae Ukponmwan, 30, of Boston, in front of the Boston Fire Department headquarters and allegedly found a knife hidden in his right shoe.
