CHICAGO — An 18-year-old man has been charged in the shooting of a 14-year-old girl over the summer on the city's South Side.The 18-year-old faces one felony count of attempted first-degree murder. According to police, the offender was a juvenile at the time of the shooting and is being processed as a juvenile.The offender was arrested by Chicago police and the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force on Monday after being identified as the person was shot and injured a 14-year-old girl while she was inside her home in the 8900 block of South Cottage Grove on August 7.He was placed into custody and charged accordingly. The festival will return for a third year to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on Oct. 19, 2024, with a massive lineup of over 50 bands, performing full albums front-to-back. AUSTIN (KXAN) — A November report released by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation found several electric reliability regions within North America are at an elevated risk during extreme weather conditions this winter, including the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).The report evaluated six regional entities and assessed possible concerns ahead of this winter season, specifically honing in on the December to February timeframe. Authorities in western Wisconsin say a murder suspect has been arrested and charged in a nearly four-decades-old cold case.Mary Josephine Bailey, 80, was arrested Monday in Maricopa County, Ariz., in the death of Yvonne Menke, who was shot three times after leaving her St. Croix Falls’ home for work at 6:25 a.m. on Dec. 12, 1985.
