SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Horses Lounge, a staple in Schenectady for almost 50 years, is closing its doors. Owner Christian Fritzen made the announcement in a Facebook post on June 21. "The time has come to focus on my health and mental well-being, along with my overall happiness."The Horses Lounge was opened in 1976 by Fritzen's father, Fred, and his wife Gladys. After Gladys passed away in 2002, Fred continued running the business until health issues arose. SHAFTSBURY, Vt. (NEWS10) -- Vermont State Police responded to a fatal dirt-bike accident off Quarry Road in Shaftsbury, Vermont on Wednesday. Police say 28-year-old Ty Kipp of Bennington was pronounced dead after life-saving measures were unsuccessful. LOUIS - The St. Louis mayor is bringing together community leaders to talk about youth outreach after last weekend's tragic gun violence downtown.It's been four days since 17-year-old Makeo Moore died in a shooting on Washington Avenue. Eleven other victims between the ages of 15 to 19 were either shot or injured. Community leaders are coming together Thursday afternoon to talk about solutions.The shooting happened on the 5th floor of a building on Washington Avenue just after 1:00 a.m. Sunday. Police said a large crowd of teenagers was holding a party.
