CHICAGO - The captain of the Blackhawks is making his return to the ice before the end of the 2022-2023 season and the expiration of his contract.After being out of the lineup for the last two months due to symptoms of long COVID and Chronic Immune Response Syndrome, Jonathan Toews will play for the team this Saturday when they host the Devils at 7 p.m. at the United Center.Head coach Luke Richardson confirmed the news to reporters after the team's practice on Friday.The captain took the ice for the team during morning skate on Tuesday, which was the first time he'd done so with the team since the Blackhawks' game against the Oilers on January 28. LLANO COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — In a civil court case against Llano County, a federal court partially granted a preliminary injunction, ordering the return of books previously removed from the county’s library system.According to court documents, the county must also update the library system’s searchable catalog to reflect that the books were available for checkout and keep them from removing any more books.On Oct. 28, a lawsuit brought by Llano County residents was brought against their county government and library system in connection to “removed” books at the public libraries. AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was booked into jail Wednesday in connection to a January road rage incident on the Interstate 35 frontage road, the Austin Police Department said in a release.On Jan. 30, a caller told APD a man pulled a gun out and pointed it at two people, including a child, in another vehicle in the 5700 block of the South I-35 frontage road, which is in central Austin near Koenig Lane, APD said.Detectives identified the man as 23-year-old Austin Martin, the release states.Firearms discovered at Austin home. ST. LOUIS - One man has died and others are possibly hurt after a shooting Friday afternoon in north St. Louis.The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to 5000 block of Thrush Avenue in the Walnut Park East neighborhood just after the noon hour to investigate the shooting. Top Stories: Severe weather expected near St. Louis Friday Officers found one man unconscious inside a vehicle who had suffered a gunshot wound to his stomach. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but died from his injuries. A SLMPD spokesperson initially reported the shooting is one "possibly involving multiple victims," though has not disclosed how many others might be hurt.
