The chief financial officer of Daimler Truck has died in a “tragic incident,” the company said Sunday.Jochen Goetz, 52, died Saturday, according to a company statement that didn’t specify what happened to him.Goetz spent more than three decades working at the Daimler Group, the Stuttgart, Germany-based automotive giant best known as the maker of Mercedes-Benz luxury cars. AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) chose Minnesota-based Fagen, Inc. to lead engineering, procurement and construction work on LCRA's upcoming "peaking" power plant.The plant is set to be built near Maxwell in Caldwell County. The natural gas-fired plant is expected to provide roughly 190 megawatts of dispatchable power to the Texas power grid, per an LCRA release.For context, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas said one megawatt can power approximately 200 homes during peak demand times, the release said.Construction is slated to begin later this summer, with the plant anticipated to be operable come 2025. AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State Route 5 near Amsterdam is now open east and west bound after a train derailment in Cranesville caused the closure of the road on August 4. A black bear bit a man who was relaxing in a hammock at a Colorado campground Saturday night, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.The bear wandered up to the man as he lay in the hammock at a campground in the Purgatoire River bottoms near Trinidad, the wildlife agency said in a news release Sunday. The attack was reported at about 10 p.m.The man, who has not been publicly identified, told officials he was in the hammock when he heard a rustling noise, turned on his headlamp and discovered a bear beside him. The black bear bit the man on the upper right arm and then turned and walked away, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.The man suffered a 2- to 3-inch bite. Wildlife officials said Sunday they are searching for the bear and have set traps to try to capture the animal. A Walnut Creek man has been arrested on multiple rape charges, the Walnut Creek Police Department said on Saturday.
