3 teens should be charged for murder as adults, Alameda County Sheriff says (KRON) -- The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is urging the Alameda County District Attorney's Office to prosecute three teens arrested for homicide as adults. The teens were arrested in connection to the October killing of a fourth teen. Alameda County deputies and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded on Oct. 8, 2023 at around 10:45 p.m. to a report of a carjacking and possible shooting. The scene was an apartment complex on Miramar Avenue in Unincorporated San Leandro.At the scene, deputies found the victim, 18-year-old Leandro Iquite suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
