LOUISVILLE, Ky (AP) — Jack Plummer threw for 388 yards and accounted for six touchdowns to lead Louisville to a 56-28 victory over Boston College on Saturday afternoon.The Cardinals (4-0, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) used a bevy of big plays to rack up 585 yards on offense. Plummer, a senior transfer from California, who threw for a career-high five touchdowns on 18-of-21 passing, had seven passes go for at least 27 yards, including four of his touchdowns.Jawhar Jordan also enjoyed a big game as he ran 18 times for 134 yards and two scores and caught a 75-yard touchdown pass from Plummer. (AP) — Stone Galloway, making his first appearance of the season, kicked a career-long 56-yard field goal with 26 seconds left as Eastern Illinois, behind a 272-yard rushing performance by freshman MJ Flowers, defeated McNeese State 31-28 on Saturday.Galloway, a senior who was 11 of 12 on field-goal attempts last season, had been sidelined this year with an injury, but came on for the winning kick, bettering his previous best by 10 yards. With more rain expected from Ophelia, a dying tropical system over Virginia, Sunday’s forecast looks to be soggy. Although there may be a brief break in the action early Sunday morning, showers will persist on and off throughout the day with periods of mist in between. Winds will also pick up slightly from what we dealt with today, with gusts up to 30 mph along the coastline. Inland gusts will be less frequent throughout the day and may exceed 20mph.
