WASHINGTON (AP) — Hunter Biden’s former business partner appeared Monday for closed-door testimony on Capitol Hill, with Republicans planning to question him about claims that President Joe Biden was directly involved in his younger son’s financial dealings. The Republican-led House Oversight Committee was conducting a transcribed interview with Devon Archer as part of its expanding congressional inquiry into the Biden family businesses as the GOP explores a potential impeachment inquiry into the president. Archer, who served with Hunter Biden on the board of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, has been seen by Republicans as a key witness in their so-far fruitless search to directly connect the president to his son’s various international business transactions. DENVER (KDVR) -- An endangered Matschie's tree kangaroo is now calling the Mile High City home after moving from the Bronx Zoo. The 1-year-old, named Pearl, is one of a few left of her kind. Denver Zoo, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo listed among the best in the country Pearl isn't the average kangaroo, she spends lots of her time up in the trees. She also won't be as big as a normal kangaroo, which can be taller than a full-grown man. Pearl won't be much bigger than she is now, which is a little bit bigger than a bowling pin. A South Florida family on Monday pleaded with the public for answers after their loved one was shot and killed at a nightclub in Lauderdale Lakes.On July 4, 29-year-old Travis Turner was celebrating with friends at the VYPZ nightclub, located on State Road 7 near Northwest 44th Street, when he was shot and killed. According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, there was an altercation that broke out, which led to the shots being fired. Turner was struck and was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman who was also at the scene was injured but has since recovered.Turner’s family said he had plans on being a father and dreams of starting a family. Police respond to flipped dumpster truck on Fort Lauderdale intersection

Emergency responders arrived at a crash in Fort Lauderdale after a dumpster truck flipped on its side.The incident occurred at the intersection of Southeast 17th Street and Eisenhower Boulevard just before noon Monday. Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and found two people with minor injuries. As a result of the wreck, police have closed off a portion of the road. A woman walking along the Charles River in Waltham was reportedly assaulted Sunday night, according to Massachusetts State Police who are trying to track down the suspect.The woman in her 20s was walking on the footbridge between Newton Street and Farewell Street near Shaw’s at around 8 p.m., she told police.The woman then heard footsteps come up from behind, and she was reportedly grabbed by someone who tried to put his hand over her mouth, according to State Police.The woman screamed, and the suspect let go of her and ran off.She described the suspect as a man in his 30s or 40s, with tan skin, average height and with athletic build. He was wearing a baseball hat.Units from Mass State Police and Waltham Police responded and searched the area, but they were not able to find the suspect. Utilities in Georgia, Florida and Alabama are receiving the electricity.Nuclear power now makes up about 25% of the generation of Georgia Power, the largest unit of Atlanta-based Southern Co.A fourth reactor is also nearing completion at the site, where two earlier reactors have been generating electricity for decades.
