SAN MATEO COUNTY – A two-vehicle collision left two people dead Tuesday night at Bean Hollow State Beach in San Mateo County, the California Highway Patrol said.The crash was reported around 6:40 p.m. on Highway 1.CHP Officer Art Montiel said two people were killed in the crash. (KRON) -- Two people were killed in a crash in San Mateo County on Tuesday evening, California Highway Patrol's Redwood City division confirmed. The crash was a head-on collision on Highway 1 at Bean Hollow Road near the town of Pescadero, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office said. Two vehicles were pulled from a lagoon after the wreck. The crash was called in to police at about 6:40 p.m. Rescue teams were deployed at about 7:30 p.m. and are still conducting a search. Image from California Highway Patrol. There is no information regarding how many occupants were inside the involved vehicles. One "critically injured" victim was taken to a hospital. Highway 1 was shut down in both directions due to the wreck. Currently, one-way traffic control is in place, Caltrans said. Drivers are told to expect delays. This is a developing story. (KRON) -- The San Rafael Police Department is asking for the community's help in solving a robbery and shooting. The incident happened on April 29 just after 9:45 p.m., when callers reported shots fired in the area of Hoag Street and Mill Street. Officers arrived to find the victim, who had been shot in the foot, police said. Sunnyvale man arrested for inappropriate relationship with underage girl SRPD said four suspects approached the victim and tried to rob him at gunpoint. He was shot, and the suspects ran away on Mill Street, per police. SRPD obtained surveillance videos of the suspects and their vehicle, which you can see above. Police believe the car used was a newer-model Toyota RAV4. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Connor Joe homered against his former team and the Pittsburgh Pirates beat San Francisco 2-1 on Tuesday night to snap a five-game losing streak against the Giants.The Pirates moved back to .500 (27-27) after falling under for the first time since they were 1-2. Pittsburgh has gone 7-19 after starting the season 20-8.Joe, who played for San Francisco in 2019, homered off John Brebbia in the first inning. Michael Conforto tied the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the inning.Pittsburgh scored the go-ahead run in the fifth, aided by a Giants error. With Rodolfo Castro on first and one out, Jason Delay singled to left. The ball bounced past left fielder Mitch Haniger, allowing Castro to advance to third and Delay to second.Sean Manaea delivered a wild pitch, allowing Castro to score.Josh Palacios followed with a ground ball to first, but Giants first baseman LaMonte Wade Jr. threw Delay out at the plate. SEATTLE (AP) — Aaron Judge homered for the third time in two games, Anthony Volpe and Greg Allen also went deep and the New York Yankees stretched their winning streak to four with a 10-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night.Judge hit a towering fly ball on the first pitch of the seventh inning from reliever Darren McCaughan that carried just enough to clear the fence in left-center field, even if it would not have been a homer at Yankee Stadium.It was the 18th of the season for Judge, who hit a pair of homers in the series opener on Monday night.While Judge hitting another homer will get the headlines, it was Volpe’s long ball that broke open the game.
