French lawmakers will visit Taiwan, the island’s foreign minister said on Monday, as China ramps up military exercises around the self-governing island. Joseph Wu said that France’s Senate and National Assembly had shown support for Taiwan and that French politicians will travel to the capital “very soon,” according to a Bloomberg report, which added the delegation is expected to travel Sunday.Taiwan’s government will “check with them to see what kind of additional support we would need,” Wu added. His comments follow French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to China last week, during which he told POLITICO that Europe should avoid getting dragged into a confrontation between Beijing and the U.S. over Taiwan. China considers the island part of its territory, a claim rejected by Taipei. “The paradox would be that, overcome with panic, we believe we are just America’s followers,” Macron said.“The question Europeans need to answer … is it in our interest to accele...Police say 5 killed in downtown Louisville shooting; shooter is dead; 6 others hospitalized

A 7-year-old Boston University hockey super fan took a trip to Tampa Bay to cheer the team on during the Frozen Four. Logan Gatto, a young boy with epilepsy, formed a special bond with the team this season thanks to a partnership between BU and Team IMPACT, a program that connects kids living with illness or disability with college sports teams.Although BU didn’t win the semifinal, Logan’s family says its his relationship with the players that means the most. “He just totally rocked it,” said Logan’s mom Sara Gatto. “I was like, ‘Who taught him how to walk a carpet like this?'”In February, Logan participated in a special signing ceremony that made him the youngest Terrier on the team, receiving his own jersey with his name and the number 29. He now gets to hang out at practice, on the bus before games, and be a part of the team.In Tampa Bay, Logan walked the team off the bus onto the ice. There were people who thought Nick Foligno was done after his injury-filled first season with the Bruins last year. Many of them, in fact. And it wasn’t just confined to the sometimes cynical, acerbic Boston fandom. When the B’s management decided to cross their fingers and expose him to waivers on the eve of the regular season so they could fit all their pieces under the salary cap, there were no takers across the league. The Bruins were far more fortunate than anyone knew at the time. Not only had the now 35-year-old Foligno’s offseason dedication to getting himself physically ready for the season pay off on the ice – he, Tomas Nosek and a revolving cast of right wings have made the fourth line a difference-making entity – the boisterous former Columbus captain embraced his slice of the leadership pie when the B’s started the season without Brad Marchand, Charlie McAvoy and Matt Grzelcyk. Foligno is a big reason the historically good 2022-23 Bruins are who the...Play-in primer: How it works and what comes next and beyond for the Miami Heat
